Well, how to say this.
After 9 years, long-time RDR host Fred Greenhalgh passes the torch to incoming host David Rheinstrom. We take a moment to reflect on the amazing journey - 450 hours of entertainment! - in RDR's first nine years, and focus on the great state of current audio drama, and the future ahead of it.
Why David? Well, David is a writer and game maker who was living in Chicago before the cool salt air of the Pacific was too alluring and he came out to Mountain View, CA, home of Google and their army of Schwinn bikes. He first got into radio theater in 2007, when he and two friends produced three original shows – Sky Pirates!, The Human Chord, and Simon Colt – with the KWUR Theater of the Air, their college radio theater company. For his day job, David works as a grammarian at an education nonprofit in the San Francisco Bay area. Prior to coming on board with Radio Drama Revival, David was assistant sound editor, writer, and producer with the cult-hit post-apocalyptic podcast Our Fair City.
What's Fred off to next? All sorts of things, some of which are revealed in this podcast. This is definitely not the end!
